Bubbles getting into my display

For a while I thought I was having macro bubble's come out of my last chamber in my sump where my return is. Well after just getting down there under the tank I know feel that there is no bubbles in that chamber which leads me to believe the bubbles need to be coming from the plumbing, has any one ever exsperienced this befor?

I get them in my display from time to time. It seems that the agitation of the surface by my power head causes them.

If you have any threaded connections I would take them apart and redo them with Teflon paste.... A leak in the return will cause bubbles even thou you don't see a drop of water... Hth..;)

Nope i dont think that is the cause i dont have any powered close enough to do it, this is realy bothering me, to the point of where im debating about breaking down the system.

First make sure there are no airleaks creating a venturi effect sucking tiny bubbles of air into your system. Sometime the temp risr and MH lighting combined will also create that effect, but wont harm any fish or coral. Is is sticking to your algae also?

I would almost bet my paycheck that's the problem... I have seen 5 or so threads just like this and I mentioned the fix and it worked every time..;)

I just did it manualy and nothing realy ill give it a few hours if nothing happens ill take it all apart and tape it up, thanks for the advice

Use the Teflon paste it seems to work alot better than tape IMHO... How old is the plumbing also??? It seems new plumbing always has it's initial phase lime skimmer where it needs to get a slime coat before the bubbles dissapear...
