Bubbles in Jagaer heater?

So this is the second heater I’ve noticed has gotten bubbles within the housing. Should I take it offline? Should I switch heater brands?? I’ve always thought this would be a great brand but this is now the second one same problem. The other one currently takes forever to heat my water mixing bucket as I took it offline as I didn’t trust it.


I have a controller so not worried about cooking anything

Pic doesn’t really show it that well and looks like something else but it’s little micro bubbles inside the glass of the heater.
Anyone else have this?

While you may not worry about cooking everything, i would be concerned about stray voltage and electrocution

can I use it as a backup for heating water? Lol sounds silly but does electric current stay in water ??

Any ideas for a good replacement heater?
Got a new jager heating saltwater up now... just thinking about avoiding jager now entirely

Reading thread I linked and few other ones, apparently this is normal for Eheim heaters, so not sure if I would just straight up avoid them all together. For some folks this is an issue, while others are fine with it, as they trust manufacturer's explanation on why it occurs. I have 2 Eheim Jaggers that I will use for my build, so cant really help you for replacement.
