As I watched my tank this morning I saw strings coming off my snail after a few seconds this happened to fall off and shoot straight up
Is this bad??

Hard to tell from the pic, but could be poop, or sperm. Neither are bad.

What type of snail? Some are known to spawn regularly in our tanks.

Agreed, whilst it might not seem an emergency to some, if you're concerned that you may be about to lose livestock it may seem like an emergency, so it's understandable posting here!

Agreed, whilst it might not seem an emergency to some, if you're concerned that you may be about to lose livestock it may seem like an emergency, so it's understandable posting here!

100% agree. Just because it may not seem like an emergency to you, if I woke up as a newbie and saw something strange like that, I would have deemed it an emergency.
