Ive seen this happen in the past and appeared to be bubbles developed from the coral's mucus. If you can touch one- does it feel like rubber /lates from a balloon?I can pop it, some are like tiny tiny blisters others balloon a lot more. Will take more photos but it’s not just this, same as the original thread the polyps become bulbous/tulip shaped![]()
Im not a hundred percent sure what the par values are but I’ve got 8 bulb Ati unit and 2 reefbrites, the Ati unit is on 2 bulbs for 10 hours the other 6 for 4 hours at mid day, and reef brites for total of 12 hours so the corals are probably getting around 250 par I’d say for most of the day and for 4 hours more than that I’ll have to see if I can get my hand on par meter, the problem is I used to have radions before and problem existed then it’s been ongoing now and getting pretty frustrating, I’ve tried to keep telling my self it’s just not mature yet or something like that but how can it be this if nothings actually dying I have not lost a coral in 15 months.Any idea of par values they are getting (as well as spectrum)?
What about the polyps? The bubbles don’t really feel like anything it’s like they are just full with water don’t even feel them if I touch the coral.Ive seen this happen in the past and appeared to be bubbles developed from the coral's mucus. If you can touch one- does it feel like rubber /lates from a balloon?
Looks good to me.Hey thanks for your reply, i dose 2 part in equal amounts to prevent ionic disbalance, just tested again and it’s 440 Ca, 8dKh, 1425 Mg. Js there anything wrong with those figures?
It’s 15 months, I started with dry rock and some friends bio bricks but I got probably about 5kg of Live rock as well in there.Looks good to me.
Just out of curiosity, how old is the system and what kind of rock did you use? Dry rock, friends rock, imported live rock, etc.?
I have the same issue, most of my acros and even a hysterix has it.Any Update or answers to this? I am having the same issue with my SPS.
How are things now? Do you have any insight as to what may be causing it?![]()
I lost about 20 pieces to this. I try not to pop them. It seemed like if infected tissue landed on another Acro then I knew that would be the next to die.
