I've seen someone mention coral hyperplasia or neoplasia. I can't find any pics of wild corals that look exactly like that but those refer to a disease or tumor.

I can pop it, some are like tiny tiny blisters others balloon a lot more. Will take more photos but it’s not just this, same as the original thread the polyps become bulbous/tulip shaped ☹️
Ive seen this happen in the past and appeared to be bubbles developed from the coral's mucus. If you can touch one- does it feel like rubber /lates from a balloon?

Any idea of par values they are getting (as well as spectrum)?
Im not a hundred percent sure what the par values are but I’ve got 8 bulb Ati unit and 2 reefbrites, the Ati unit is on 2 bulbs for 10 hours the other 6 for 4 hours at mid day, and reef brites for total of 12 hours so the corals are probably getting around 250 par I’d say for most of the day and for 4 hours more than that I’ll have to see if I can get my hand on par meter, the problem is I used to have radions before and problem existed then it’s been ongoing now and getting pretty frustrating, I’ve tried to keep telling my self it’s just not mature yet or something like that but how can it be this if nothings actually dying I have not lost a coral in 15 months.

Here’s my last ICP and also few more photos of the corals taken minutes ago. You can really see the polyps shape its definitely not okay, and the tiny bubbles it’s clearly visible on the Monti but they all look that way.

What about the polyps? The bubbles don’t really feel like anything it’s like they are just full with water don’t even feel them if I touch the coral.

Also I should mention I’ve taken several frags out and done Antibiotic treatments 4 times for 8 hours and that did nothing, iodine dip too, Coral revive, nothing seems to help, also I got a frag tank hooked to the display, they both have different flow and lighting, problem is happening in both tanks.

Yea this is still a mystery for us. Neoplasia and hyperplasia are like cancers and most people are not aware of this issue with acropora. No one has had luck with any dipping or additives that I have talked to. The only way to get it to go away that I know of, is to move the coral to a completely different system. I have seen a number of people say they gave the coral to a friend and it healed. Risky for the friend if they have any other acropora in their tank. I am guessing it can spread to other corals.

I have had it and got it to go away somehow only thing I did was lower calcium from 420 to 375 and made sure mag was below 1400. I would suggest you make sure your mag and alk and calcium are in balance with each other using the red field ratio. Then just keep things as stable as possible.

If anyone has this issue it would be best to not sell fragments. Also stay away from corals that are for sale that have the fat tulip looking polyps.

Looks good to me.

Just out of curiosity, how old is the system and what kind of rock did you use? Dry rock, friends rock, imported live rock, etc.?

It’s 15 months, I started with dry rock and some friends bio bricks but I got probably about 5kg of Live rock as well in there.

Any Update or answers to this? I am having the same issue with my SPS.
I have the same issue, most of my acros and even a hysterix has it.
I've tried everything to no avail.
Had it for about six months now, very frustrating. Most if the encrusting and plating corals seem ok.

Is it possible to connect any commonalities between different systems suffering with this syndrome?
Is Biotec or Abiotec.
I thought for a while it was lighting, maybe to much blue light like the hypothesis that this causes mushrooms to bounce.
Or heavy metals, my icp showed elevated metals, Cu, Zn, Fe.
Just some thoughts.
