My last two acans were purchased from ****
within a week I had issues.

Side note; I was shorted polyps.
To their defense, i didn't try ask for it to be resolved. They offered and I just forgot about it.

Since purchasing, my prized colonies of acans have been attacked.
Polyps are being eaten away by tiny only seen under a microscope black bugs.
Quarantined, iodine dipped, re-vive dipped, etc etc etc.

FINALLY, got interceptor from the vet today, and we'll see if it works.

If you have the time, research hard, and you'll see many people are having issues with acans right now caused by a little black bug.
I believe the source is a wholesaler with "Brown" in the name from Japan.

So if ***** doesn't work through them... I stand corrected, but still have the bugs.

Are you sure the bugs are from that vendor. Within the last month or so I picked up several frags from them and have had no issues. Hope everything gets worked out.

I have no way of being certain, I won't lie.

I have no intentions of slandering, moreover, I've seen them selling A LOT of acans lately, and my acans were trashed by bugs that may have been from any of 3 separate purchases from them.

So... to anyone buying acans, beware, dip, and be prepared to use interceptor if this happens to you...

Buddy you should not be posting threads about something you are unsure of. It's one thing to warn about bugs, but it is another to bring any vendor into the mix when you yourself don't know. I am editing this thread to remove names due to the fact that there is no proof since you said it yourself.

BTW Aussie acans have been known to just do well and then all of a sudden start receding and die. I have had it happen myself.

Do you have pics of the bugs?

Also it's funny that you mention being shorted on polyp counts even though they offered to make it right, which you never took advantage of.

Its vendor feedback. A fact was stated.

The vendor name was mentioned for a reason.
So that other people who buy from that vendor are extra precautious.

If there is no vendor name attached, you may just want to move it to the general LPS forum. It doesn't serve any purpose here now for those who would want to research that vendor before their purchase.

:ooh:

So sorry to the others of you that are also experiencing this.

I've been contacted from several people on several sites.
Same vendor. Same scenario.

I have had success with ineterceptor.
The initial die off was rapid, and devistating, but has stopped since my 2nd dose of interceptor. I finalized the 3rd dose, and things seem to be stable.

Good luck to all of you. 3 hour interceptor baths on everything before it enters my tank from now on...

I do at least a 10 hour interceptor dip on everything including zoas, lps, softies etc. I usually use a half of a medium pill in about 3 gallons of water. So far so good.
