I have a 125 gallon reef tank. Today I had my 2nd cleaning of my FX6 filter. I found a bunch of black bugs as pictured and transparent ones same size hard to describe other then that. Any thoughts of

It looks like an amphipod which are fine, but a positive ID won't be possible without clearer pictures.

Hard to get a clear pic they move fast out of the filter. Best I could get. Did not keep them laying around after cleaning.

I would suggest trying to take one out of the water and get a picture of it on a good background, but my money is on amphipods which most people (including me) think are good to have.

Pull your phone early AM when its dark and look at the rocks. You can take a pic or a short clip. If you see them moving around rapidly in and out, chasing each other, - if so, almost certain they are amphipods. They are good. My tank is full of them too.
