Building A 210 Gallon Reef Tank

Hello Reef2Reef Community,

I am new to the hobby but very excited to get started. I have a 210 Oceanic tank with two drill ports already placed. I am finishing up the stand probably in the next week or two.

So the next steps are plumbing and sump. Any advice how on a good set up? So far I have a Red Sea 1800 - C protein skimmer, 26 gallon tank, and a 20 gallon tank. I planned on putting in a 50 gallon sump. I will build myself with the protein skimmer but that is as far as I have planned.

Any advice on plumbing set ups, sump set up, and I would like to use the 26 gallon as a quarantine tank.

Tank dimensions are 7ft x 2ft x 2ft

I like to build things from the ground up! I am patient so I don't mind waiting until I have everything completely figured out! From what I researched the filtration is the make or break. If a great filtration is in place then that means less work for me. Everyone on this site seems very knowledgeable and I much rather learn from your mistakes or experiences than experience them myself.

Also navigate through the 180+ gallon forum to see how other people do their setups. Maybe you can get some
good ideas from there.
