I have decided to setup a predator tank with a 240 (96x 24x25”) but have no idea for filtration what is necessary for a predator tank. I assume it would be similar to a reef setup just no dosing pumps correct me if I’m wrong. Any recommendations for sumps or protein skimmers or reactors? Anyone able to show their setup on their predator tank for an example? I’ve been looking at nyos and goes reef and triggersystems for the equipment, any recommendations? Thanks.

Evening

Been a longtime since I ran a tank like that. Kinda miss them. Triggers are my favorite fish.

My main focus was alway on mechanical filtration. Filter pads, floss, skimmers. Getting rid of the heavy fish waste was always my focus. That would help with No3 a and Po4 control for algae. The rest usually took care of itself with water changes and routine maintenance
