Hey Guys,
I have a Red Sea Reefer 250, and was thinking of building a 100 Gallon Sump setup (Rubbermaid) right below where my display tank one floor down in basement. Has anyone done this with a Reefer 250, and what kind of configuration do you have? I would like to Run a Refugium, Skimmer, filter socks ext in the 100 gallon tank, as well as all my Apex gear, probes Ect. Any thoughts? Point me in the right direction???

This is what I would be using :

should work fine. I have a 65gal. display and moved all my equipment to the basement 5 yrs ago in a closet right under the tank. just make sure your return pump is big enough. you going to have about 10-12 ft of head pressure. best thing I did, no more crawling under the tank for maintenance.

I will have the sump in basement about 8-10 feet directly below display. Using a Neptune Systems Cor20.

cor20 should work fine, it comes with 3/4" return outlet. I would suggest increasing it to 1", you will get better flow( a little less head pressure). for every 90 degree elbow you put in your return you add 1 foot of head pressure. cor20 pumps have a head pressure chart to give an idea how much loss per foot of pressure( as do most pumps).
