This is probably a stupid question but I’m in the process of building a stand. They have two different 2x4s at Lowe’s. Can I use either? One says it’s a stud the other one says lumber. All the videos I’ve watched about building stands they just refer to it as a 2x4? Theyre both the same (Douglas Fir Kiln-dried) but the Stud is $1.22 more expensive.

neither will make a difference tbh. Stud lumber you may just get straighter wood. I would go hand pick them out of the cheaper lumber and check each board for bowing.
