Ok, I'm freaking out, wife is freaking out, even the dog looks worried ! The wife thought she would add an anemone to the tank. She got a good deal, because its a condylactus anemone. Don't think I want this in my tank, its already attached to the rock work. has not killed anything yet. I'm looking to move it to the crab tank and let them fight it out. Will have to move the rock work to get it out. Wife meant well, we have a bubble tip anemone that the clowns love, but I have only heard bad things about these guys.

Have some upgrades coming, decided on the Kamoer F4 PRO Wi-Fi Doser, ordered it yesterday. I am only dosing AFR right now, but will have it covered if more is needed in the future. Finished up plumbing the phyto jugs for air line, and need to figure out where I'm going to keep the phyto set up at.

Pumps mounted, not completely set up to run, minor issue with tubing to the bottles, will be corrected tomorrow with the other 2 bottles. Issue is the size of the dose tubing does not jive with my bottle set up.

Have my AFR running on the pump, should get more stability from this. Also have been waiting 17 days for a priority mail shipment (no livestock) , its actually moving this way now. Ordered an AutoAqua smart stirrer and an IceCap return pump. The pump is for my salt mixing bin.

Finally had a shipment come in today (not live stock), I ordered it priority mail 21 days ago. Its an AutoAqua smart stirrer and an IceCap return pump (EVO 1000) for my salt mixing station. Can't wait to try the stirrer, testing is due tomorrow so its getting used. my mixing station is nothing fancy, but may still post some pics of it

Water testing showed that my nitrates and phosphates are not were I want them to be and my calcium went to high when trying to bring my magnesium up. Backed off the AFR slightly and getting set up to dose magnesium.

phos - 1.0
nitrate - 25.0
dKh - 9
ph - 8.00
mag - 1260
calcium - 480

No improvements with changing the AFR dose, except calcium getting close to too high. I ordered the magnesium chloride and sulfate mix for liquid dosing. will start real slow and see where its goes.

Condylactus Anemone is getting large

That’s a lot of unnecessary tech for a few LPS and Zoas. I’ll never understand why people running tanks with no fast growing coral are so gun-go about adjusting their water chemistry. More money than sense!

Condy is nice, props to your wife on picking it. I usually don’t like them but that one looks healthy.

Maybe for some LPS, but when stability is reached, its going mixed reef. The garden has only been planted, it has to grow

Chato is back in the sump, can't fall back into a double zero hole this time. Side note, my chato has been in a tub (clear) with only getting ambient light in my laundry room for 2 months. Its just fine, don't know why it would be hard for some to grow it in a sump.

Had an issue with a farg shipment, frags were loaded with flat worms and vermited snails, dipped and cleaned them up best I could. Then its off to the crab tank for a while to see what else shows up.

Not fun. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience.

What type of flatworms?
sorry for late response, been busy the last few days. not sure what kind, should have taken a pic. but the chance for eggs might be high. so will see what develops in the crab tank. frags look good so far.

If they're Ghost or Red Planaria, those can typically be controlled with Halichoeres wrasses or Springeri Damsels or Springeri Dottybacks rather than having to resort to any chemical means.

no fish in with the crab, will give it time to see if the dip knocked them off, but don't think it works on the eggs. they look like the ones I had to deal with back in the 90's. If I have some still I will get a pic of it

Beat one enemy another shows up. In my fight against dino's, the nitrate and phosphate levels were to high, brought them under control but not before cyano took hold. But this ones easy compared to dino's. So back at it. will try to get a pic of the patch of it with white light later.
