Hey Gang,
Trying to get the 150 reset after the move. For the life of me I cannot get the bulkheads to not leak. Any suggestions? I'm in Bellevue and willing to accept any help to get this things to not leak. Would love to get the tank back up and running.
Thanks,
Kevin

What size are the holes? What size are the bulkheads? How are you tightening the bulkheads?

I will check the size of the bulkheads. I had used the same bulkheads before moving, without any problems. I bought new gaskets, that is the only difference. I hand tightened and then bought a wrench to try to tighten them up a little further. Did not use any silicone grease. I am assuming you would use that on the threads?

Did you make sure to put the gaskets on the flanged side and not the nut side? You shouldn't really need grease in most cases. Is the glass clean where the gasket sits? Is the bulkhead clean and smooth where the gasket goes?

Gaskets were on the inside flange. I bought new bulkheads and switched out the PVC, installed and now no leaks. The progression shall continue. Thanks everyone.

That was going to be my next recommendation. Glad you got it to stop leaking.

Stuff like that can be so frustrating. In theory there should be no leaks but somehow there are. I feel for you. I'm glad it's all worked out and you can move forward.

For what it's worth, you probably bunched the seals when you put a wrench on for tightening.

Bulkheads should only be hand tight.
