I have 2 2” bulkheads half way up my tank side wall. I am wanting to add 4 more toward the top of the tank on the same wall as the return lines for my closed loop.
Are the distances from the edge of the tank and each other ok? It’s a 1” thick acrylic panel. Or should I go with smaller bulkheads, the pump has 1.5” output but I already have the hole saw for 2”

I've always heard at least 1.5 times the diameter of the hole away from any other edge. But I've never drilled glass, so take that for what it's worth!

It's acrylic and thanks for the info. I am now thinking of only doing 3 instead of 4 so I can move the two outside ones in closer to the middle one

I would wait for someone more experienced to chime in for the structure part, but I'm curious why so many holes? What's the total volume of the tank? I would think 2x 2" holes would be sufficient for even a couple hundred gallons.

I am putting in 3/4" Penductors on them, I have a 2" going to an Abyzz pump or many a Red Dragon 3 I am getting Tuesday. The output for both of them is 1.5"
I am thinking more holes for the output the better.
it's a 375Gallon tank.
