Bumblebee Snail’s Mouth

I haven’t seen any pictures online of this! I have had this lil guy longer than any of my other inverts and he’s never gone on the glass before. I’ve been told they’re snail killers but I have 50+ ceriths and other snails that he seems to ignore. He’s my cute lil detritus hunter. Is this tube his mouth?

That is weird! Bump for this!

I know they have a proboscis that extends out in front of their shell and is used for feeding, but it almost looks like your guy is making a snack of a worm or something.

I’m also trying to keep a pico tank with 4 oyster drill snails and it reminded me of their mouths, which are long tubes. I couldn’t find anything on what a bumblebee snails mouth would look like, but I’m assuming it would be like other predatory snails? He’s probably eating a piece of food or some little bug that’s under the algae wafer.

Interesting - it's definitely sticking something out of the there; I would guess the thing sticking out is the proboscis and the thing it is sticking out from is the proboscis sheath, but it's tough to find sheath pictures to compare with that aren't cone snails.
