Buried Coral help

Hey everyone,
One of my mushroom corals (about 1inch around) came unglued and got lost in the sand it appears. Several hand searches for the coral came up empty. What are my options? I dont want to give up yet.

What about trying something like a wide-pronged plastic fork (one you’d use for cooking) to dig around a bit?
