Bybbke mangus over flowing like mad

Let's start out with... I moved. So, I torn the tank down. Washed what i cpuld in the process. Drove 16hrs with the tank and supplies and live stock in a trailer, set it all up and protien skimmer has been overreacting ever since. Its causing a bubble bath in my sump that is then being sucked up and into the display forming micro bubbles.

I have my Bubble Mangus Curve 5 in 6" of water. Fully open to max. Its been set up at the new house for three days. I turned off to let bubbles settle and its still doing the same thing. Im not sure what to do here. Any advice?

I have a drain hose on my skimmer cup that I use to perform water changes when I have a bubble issue. I add extra water to the tank and run a drain line to a 5 gallon bucket to catch the foam from the skimmer. I add 5 gallons of water and replace water every time I empty the skimmer overflow bucket.

Usually I don’t have to use more than one 5 gallon bucket of water to get the bubbles under control, but occasionally it takes more. I usually am close by to prevent overflowing issues and on a good day the bubbles can be healed in one or two hours using the wet skimmer overflow and replacement procedure.

My tank is about 125 total gallons, 5 gallons isn’t much of a fraction of the total.

Why do you have it turned to the max? lol, turn it down. I have the same skimmer and if I turn it to the max I have the same as you. Adjust the dial so the foam comes to the bottom of the neck in the cup

Have you recently used any superglue or epoxy to redo the rock work or position frags? My skimmer always goes crazy for a day or two afterwards.

Its been 5 days and its still doing it. Not sure what to do at this point. I use Red Sea Reef salt... so nothing new. I did put about 75% new water into it. But it was RO water. So I dont get it. Ive turned it off for now and currently watching my nitrates and phosphates rise farther than ever before.

You're supposed to so it can "break" in. I washed all equipment so I figured thats why its over flowing. I have tried running it on minimum and there's no difference. Even raising makes not difference. Its been 5 days so changes.

Yes, I used super glue. My skimmer has never acted this way before because of it. But its been 5 days so I doubt thats the issue.
