I have a beautiful cabbage leather and it might be a dumb newb question but can I place him just in the sand or do I need to keep him in the middle of the tank. He doesn’t seem to be liking the light and I’d like to move him lower and I’m probably overthinking it but don’t want to just put him in the sand without some advise because his base is super small and the majority of his under aside will literally be in the sand. Thoughts? Thanks guys for all you're continued help.

I sort of wedged mine into a hole in a rock and sat it on the sandbed. It attached itself to the hole in the rock and I moved it later a little farther up in the tank

The cabbage leather will probably do better attached to a rock but I don’t think sand will hurt the coral as long as it’s not submerged in it. From what I’ve seen people usually place them lower in the tank so you should be fine
