I'm finally finishing up my 200 gal peninsula tank build. I'm gonna end up with a gyre 350 at the far end. Don't trust 2 tunze stream 3s, or any other for that matter , to not make dead spots. My question is I need to run the wire the length of the tank under eurobrace. Looking at putting cable ties mounts under the euro brace. Would this 3m self stick hold up under salt air and moisture?? Should I silicone them in place?? Any other ideas??

I assume you are talking about something like this? Scraping off the adhesive and using silicone under your euro bracing?

Yes, I ordered 3 different ones to see. I've had them stick ridiculously well to out side of glass. Didn't know if they would hold up under euro brace from salt water environment or would it be better to scrape back off and silicon. Or I can stick them and if they fail , silicone them up as they will be out of the water.

Are you planning on starting a build thread? I would love to see more.

Whichever ones you go with, I would use as few as necessary to get the job done, because every time you need to pop the wire out up there under your Euro-bracing I think you will be cursing at them! Lol! PS: We'd love to see some photos down the road. And Best wishes! ;Joyful

Here's a few pics that I took. Had frame repainted to grey. Using 3 xr30 Gen 5 blues with t5s. Synergy reef systems sk-44 with clarisea roller.

Filled with fresh water to check for leaks and make sure still level.
