Calc reaction co2 controller fixed or range ph better

Hi

If using apex to turn on and off a co2 controller to control ph, is it better to set coding to a fixed ph at target affluent or say range theph with a high and low value to prevent prevent excess outlet toggling. If ranging is better is there a preferred variance that produces good efficiency ie 0.1 , 0.2 …:
 
I don't have controller, however, I would think you want the pH to remain as stable and consistent as possible. With that thinking, I'd do a fixed pH level and let the CO2 controller and Apex do it's thing.
