I have some questions I’m hoping you can help me answer.

Restarted my tank from scratch. I’m dosing 2 little fishes a and b (cal and alk) I don’t know how much exactly I need to dose, so I started at 15ml for both.

Here are my questions:

1) do you usually dose the same amount of calcium and alkalinity, or will the numbers need to be played around with separately?

2) My dosing pump does calcium first, then alk 5 mins later. Is that ok, or should it be further apart?

3) I never dosed mag in my life, but I want to start. I will test for it. My question is: 2 little fishies doesn’t have a mag dosing bottle like the a and b. What type should I use, and how much do I dose in comparison to cal and alk? I have a 300 gallon tank, and the mag bottles look smaller and cal and alk bottles. Is it more concentrated in which you dose less but get more?

Additional information: Before my tank was restarted, I dosed around 20ml of cal and alk, but I want to adjust it slowly to get the exact number it needs.

You’ll need to figure out how much your tank uses in a day, then work out a dosing schedule from there. By “restart” I’d assume the tank has very little for nutrient demanding corals in it, if that is so there likely isn’t any reason to dose, as nothing is using the nutrients.
