Calcium Reactor cleaning?

First time using a CaRX. How often do I need to clean it and flush the media? Also have a influence chamber that is filled with dead coral and rock rubles to help with the ph before it goes back to tank. Do I need to clean and flush it out also? Been running for 8 month.
