Hello, I’m considering a calcium reactor for my tank.
I have a concern about the CO2 cylinder filling, is it safe to have it in the living room? Are there some safeguards to be taken?
Thanks

What are your concerns about (is it the CO2 gas leaking or is it that the cylinder is under pressure)?

Both, leaking and pressure

Replace sealing washer when replacing tank check for leaks prevent tank from falling over. A 5 lb tank contains about 45 cubic feet of CO2 or 5.4" in a 10'X10' room.

Slow leaks are not an issue - even in a small room (this is the same carbon dioxide that you exhale with each breath). Large leaks would be audible and would be heard, again CO2 gas is not toxic to humans but may displace CO2.

CO2 cylinder might be under some pressure - but it's not a lot of pressure (e.g. that would be the case to store methane/nitrogen gas) so safe to use as well.
