A friend told me about putting the effluent hose inside the skimmer by making a hole in the skimmer lid so that the CO2 can be purified. Can this be useful? It is to raise the pH.

My effluent drips into a cylinder full of bones which is what most do if your not running a second chamber.

I have second chamber, but only increase 0.1-0.05 the ph.

My pH runs 7.8-8.2 night/day with no issues. I have never had a reason to adjust pH on any system.
I have dripped it into the exit of the skimmer with no difference in ph.
