Alright. I set to one bar and turned the regulator to 6. How high should the affluent DKH be?
Just to confirm, the regulator (big knob at the bottle) is set to 1 bar? What you have set to 6 is the seconds per bubble (actual carbon doser electronic bubble counter). @bakbay recommendation of setting the kamoer to 20 is a good starting point. You have to give it quite some time to start dissolving before you check effluent.

I don’t want to sound harsh here, but it seems that a crash course in carx 101 might be of some help.

There was a great wright up long ago by Jda on setting up calcium reactors. If I can find it I’ll post it back here. It gives good insight into exactly how everything works, settings and adjustment, all the good stuff.

Edit, ok I didn’t find it here but if you look up Jda , find any post and at the bottom in his signature line you’ll see links. One of those links is for his carx document it’s totally worth a gander as it sums up everything very well.

A picture is worth a thousand words. This is what I use & do on one of my tanks
1. Fully open the CO2 knob on the canister
2. Carbon Doser: turn the big knob to around 1-1.2 bar
3. Carbon Doser: turn the little knob (0.1 to 10) to 6
4. Kamoer: set at 20mls/min

Measure alk from effluent — I usually just check tank’s alk.

I knew it had to be something simple. The directions say that the regulator valve or knob had to be fully counterclockwise. In order to get small bubbles, it didn't say that it cut out the the flow.

Cool - much better. It’s always a good idea to post pictures so people won’t have to imagine / guess.

Curious: what is that black GEO canister for? I have a GEO 618 dual chamber but this is a tri chamber?

It is a CO2 mixing chamber co2 goes in there first, then to the big chamber, then to the little chamber and out to the tank
So this is the SSE commercial carx rated for 1000gal+? Nice — that’s one huge setup!

I have the following: GEO 618x2, Red Octopus CR5000D, and Aquamaxx T3.

Yeah, that’s just weird. Sounds like they messed up their instructions pretty bad. I mean, technically speaking I guess pressure would affect bubble size, but that’s just not something you worry about with a carbon doser. I wonder if they included the tunze regulator instructions for a regular carx with an actual liquid filled bubble counter, or maybe have two different sections where one set of instructions is for the carbon doser and the other for liquid bubble counter…either way that’s frusterating

The instructions are not good, I could think of better ways to write it. Having pressure on the second gauge is extremely important. Hindsight

It's overkill. It's for about 325 total gallons, but I do plan to grow to about 750 gallons in the next couple of years.

Thank you for the help. Simply closing that valve and putting 1.2 bars of pressure into the line has dropped My ph down to 6.5, the target.
