I’d only use a sulfur denitrator if you have greatly elevated nitrate. They reduce alk and pH.

I like the rdsb idea or maybe a sort of cryptic fuge. I guess it could be more of a slow flow anoxic zone These are usually dark so you could make sure it gets little to no light or maybe vinyl wrap it.
