Apparently, nothing in my tank at least my Cal level have never been below 500. Mine is at 780 since Saturday how high is yours?

It is not usually a problem unless it is a massive overdose. It can increase abiotic precipitation of calcium carbonate, but so does elevated pH and alkalinity.

You're ok bud, I wish I can bring mine that low lol. How's your Alk though? You wanna make sure that's in check 8-12 dkh. IME having low Alk level poses more problem than having high Cal. Again, we all have different tank set up so results may vary.

That is no concern. I'd just not intentionally add any.

Same for alkalinity: just let it decline.
