What is your favorite camera to film with?

I use a Nikon D500 but have not been able to justify buying a Macro lens just yet so I am using Kenko extension tubes with my current lenses.

Sorry, I have not up loaded any yet. I am still trying to get the hang of tank photography. I can get good shots but the depth of field is so limited with extension tubes that I am thinking of stacking them and letting the PC process a bunch of them at different focal points. It worked well when I use to play around with Astro photography but I am not sure how it will work with shots of corals and different depths of fields.

Moved to medium format and Mamiya. The quality difference between 35mm and 6x7 was incredible.

Moved to Canon when I jumped to digital. Frankly I wish I had stayed with Nikon because Nikon/Sony sensor accuracy and noise levels thump Canon.

Still, the difference in image quality now between brands is trivial. No need for tribalism. The cameras are typically better than the user.

Really, you too! I used to shoot nighttime sports for newspaper with a Bronica ETR 6x4.5. Nowadays my phone has better quality than the $10,000 digital Nikons we used to buy!
Still, I get the OP's frustration with tank photography. Macro setups of most any type are intended for motionless and don't lend themselves well to moving targets with semi-transparent foregrounds.

Nikon 5600 with a Nikon 16 - 35 zoom, Nikon 40 mm macro and a Tamron 90 macro, as above cameras will only do what the user inputs.
Having T5s helps, this was earlier today, hand held with the 40 macro.
Learn your camera in manual, I really should start shooting raw but I'm too lazy to learn the software. ;)

I shot sports for a large metro paper. Being the low guy on the totem pole I got the events nobody wanted.

The vets would grab the games held in stadiums they knew had good lighting. I got the class D school football game held next to a cornfield in the middle of nowhere. I could probably park my car near, flip the high beams on and cut an Fstop. I was pushing TriX to 3200 with a Nikon 180 f2.8 (lens was a legend) and was lucky to hit 125/sec. But...I did it and frequently made the front of the sports section ticking off the vets.

Now digital makes it easy, but those were fun days.

I had an inmate who was cuffed in front, reach and grab a deputy's weapon to shoot me for taking his photo one night. I cold-cocked him with my 180/2.8 that was slung across my other shoulder on my spare body.
Almost makes me want to buy a decent SLR and actually shoot some tank photos... almost!

Sony A7R II, Sigma Art 70mm Macro lens. Thinking about getting another lens that's better for some of the shots i try to take, open for suggestions. Also need to get a waterproof casing for the whole rig for underwater photography.

Couldn't use 4 grade. Paper editor had to keep print density inbounds so we had to watch dmax. The stringers did our own printing and we had top of the line Focomat enlargers. Had to work fast though. The 180mm is one of the greatest lenses ever made.

The cool thing was this was all manual focus. Then again when you were working with pro level SLRs like an F3HP you could track a moving target with those large, bright viewfinders. No FF dSLR I've used comes close to an F3HP in that dept. Then again you don't need to.

I watch these hipster reviews on YouTube screwing around with 35mm film and they don't get it. If you are going to scan film just shoot digital and remove the weak link.
