Did I have 5 birds nest frags and each one seems to do great for several weeks then the white branches start. I have clipped back the white branches and that doesn’t help. There have been some tiny branches that accidentally fell off I have just put them in a hole in the rocks and they branch and grow then just turn white. I need some help I love birds nestsl

What kind of lighting and flow do you currently have? Have you checked your parameters lately and if so what are your readings and have you looked into getting some PAR reading in different areas of your system?

Same for me, then it will regrow and collapse again. To add insult to injury my stylophora, pocillopora, etc. are doing great

Those should be ok, pH and CAL is a bit low. Most people keep aquariums at 8+ alK, but NSW is 7 so it should be ok.

PO4? Should be around .05-.1 ALK could be a little higher but it wont cause that.

Birdnests grow into the flow, then will eventually block the flow/light and STN from the bottom up. That's when its time to start the colony over.

@Bubbas I would recommend placing them up high on your tank, where there is plenty of light and flow.
