Can anyone ID this acan?

Red/orange acan lord.

Acan lord. As for a name I would have to say good luck... They are hard to ID by looking at them since they can change different colors depending on where they are placed in the tank. It is a very nice looking acan i would want it in my tank for sure. - I love the color
 
That's why I bought it its my first scan to grow. Its eats well and looks ready to split another head. Hope it stays this color. Right now I have T5 but getting ready to switch back to led soon
 
I do not think they normally split. You will find the babies to be a lot more colorful. At least that is my experience.

As mentioned they kinda sprout babies along the outer edges of the head. New babies are generally more colorful since they are new, at an angle where they are getting less light. If you prefer then to remain the color of babies move the colony to a lower light area.
 
Ok cool I will move it under a rock ledge and see what happens thanks for the info.
