this was given to me. I’ve searched and searched. Can’t seem to find a spot on idea of what he is, so not sure where to place or how to care for. Any thoughts?

Looks like some type of leather coral

Thank you. It doesn’t seem to like any spot I give it.

Leathers can be mad for days sometimes.

I would look up leather Corals and see if you can find something that looks similar. ......To me it kind of looks like lobophyton.
