Can first fish be Eibl’s Angel

Cycle complete, bacterial bloom from halimeda finished, I would like to put this fish in with ogo algae. I would also add 10 Tiger turbos, and a Tiger conch. 55 gallon

55 gallons may be a bit tight at some point (they can grow up to 6" eventually). The snails and conch will be fine with that setup.

What are the other eventual tankmates?

I generally like to see dwarf angels go in more mature tanks, so they can graze. The algae should help.

As blaxson said, they get sort of big for a dwarf angel. Also, in case you aren't aware, they are up there with lemon peel and half black as infamous coral nippers.

Flameback angelfish up to 3-4inch are the smallest pygmy angels out there and are pretty spunky plus they look great. Flame angels as well one of the smallest growing to 3-5inch also look really good. Just have to cater a bit to their specific diets.

Seems like almost every dwarf can possibly nip at corals. Some are far less aggressive than others - that's to be expected. I'm trying to go somewhat outside the box of what's the most popular, as long as they look good, and aren't full on crazy, thanks all.

I have an eibli in a 180 with several tangs amd a majestic angel. All around 3-4". So far neither angel has nipped coral... but I have way more rock than coral. The risk is there with any angel(except the 100% reef safe ones).

Mine are grazing the rock, aglae clips and eating LRS frozen foods as well as pellets from my auto feeder.

They are a very active fish once established and need lots of room to graze, as well swim, and as they do get to be 6" they will eventually outgrow a 55g.
