I added half the bag about a month ago..I still have the other half of sand left.. bag isn't fully sealed will this be ok to add?

Yes - I’ve done it twice with no issues. Use a PVC pipe with funnel to get the sand to the bottom of your aquarium to minimize the sand blowing around.
