I have 3 now, I wonder if would be safe to add some more.

Its ok to add some more females. Just decide how many you want to add. 3 more would be my advice at the most ,because the most dominating female will become the male ,and thatn will be more then enough for your tank;)

Squammipinnis can be feisty, so if you have three, get at least 3 or more to spread out any social aggression.

I don't see how that would be pushing it. Anthias do well in groups, and their attention will be focused more on each other than tankmates.

I have close to 30 fish in an 80g, same footprint as the 120, so....

I mean the aquarium size. But everything depends on your husbandry .:)

I had 1m/2f in my 105 (same footprint as 120 just a little shorter). They bred every night before the lights out. I got rid of them because I feel the tank is too small for them and it didn't look right for me. So if I were you I would not add more.

I have kept them in numerous tanks on numerous occasions. I like the look of anthias in a group, plus the social dynamics are more interesting in a larger group.

It looks so nice to see those pink anthias in any tank. But if 3 is better than 6 I will be happy to just keep the trio.
