I have one rock from my old tank that’s been in the sun for 3 days ...it has coralline algae still on it lol should I dump it in my new tank that’s got all white dry rock ?! Wouldn’t this old rock restart the process quicker even tho it’s just one rock ?!

Well, I oftgen use rock from an established system along with new maricultured live rock to help establish a healthy microbiome like Aquabiomics described in his article here:

However, leaving rock out in hte sun long enough for it to dry out pretty much kills everything on it. I often also reuse dead rock once it's hosed off well but you shouldn't entertain any idea it's adding any beneificial microbiomes or sponges to your new system

Well said! In the end, the die off would start/extend the cycling process.
