Can I remove a toadstool from its base rock ?

moving corals to a new tank and have few softies that needs to be transferred as well. The base rocks are covered in algae and don't it in the new tank.
How do I remove them from the rock?

If you can't detach it for what ever reason you could also consider a dip for the algae.

I had a large wall hammer and green toadstool leather with algae on their base rocks.
Obviously I couldn't separate the hammer from it's "wall" so I dipped them in 50/50 saltwater/H2O2 twice 7 days apart.

2 weeks later they were algae free and went in the DT.

You can simply scrape the base of the toadstool off the rock. I do it all the time. You can use your fingernail and slowly separate it at the base.
