Can I use this acrylic cement?

Have to repair something in my tank and don't want to use glass, so I found this acrylic glue on amazon, is it reef safe?

Yes, it's a 1-part like #3 or #4 but thickened so it stays in place "better" than the other two. I'd suggest practice with some scrap acrylic pieces to get a feel for using it.

Yes that will work.. what are you trying to repair thou? It’s only gonna stick to acrylic it doesn’t work on glass!

Trying to repair a frag holder that I dropped from a really high place.

I also found this one, and I feel like it'd be a better option because I was going to buy some plastic from them soon for a project. Does anyone know if this one would work?

Weldon 16 will work fine.. it’s much stronger than the craftics but either would work.

For what it’s worth super glue would most likely work a frag rack repair also.

Ok thanks. I was going to buy this because I feel like this would be better if anything else happens. Plus I have a bad experience with super glue and smooth surfaces.

Acrylic cement will be the better option because it will fuse the parts back together.

But superglue can work pretty well if you slightly roughen the surfaces before applying the glue. It also has less chances for accidents like with an acrylic cement.

If the pieces are separate that would work, but if its just cracked it will be hard to get it inside the crack. Water thin acrylic cement (like weld on 3) would be able to get down in a crack.

Technically a thin cyanocrylate would work in this scenario too.

But I agree with this statement, an acrylic cement is the better fit in case.
