The lighting period might be a bit long.

Can't really say about the intensity. I had a pair of them over a 75, but a 20 long is a much smaller tank. If the corals like it, don't change it.
What intensity did you have yours run at? Or is the par the same no matter the intensity?

I really have no way of knowing that. You'll just have to go by how the corals respond after being under a particular setting for 7-10 days. If you have, or know someone with a par meter, or a seneye monitor that has a hobby grade par meter in it, you could measure the par at the top of the rock and the sand.

A cheap LUX meter will give you a general idea as well if you can't swing the PAR meter.

I agree. Get rid of the poly (not the floss) and, perhaps, the carbon. Puri-gen isn't something I'd be using with Euphillia because they (hammer/torch/frogspawn) apparently don't like the stuff.
Aside from that (and maybe take out the carbon), leave it alone. The more we mess around, the quicker things go wrong. Do one thing at a time and observe for a week. Then move on. Patience.

They don’t?
My 45g cube is running sponge, two bags of purigen, two pads of poly filter, gfo reactor, carbon reactor, cheato reactor, uv sterilizer, mangroves, and skimming heavily. My euphyllia are doing just fine ;)

My LFS insisted that Puri-gen can be quite detrimental to Euphillia. Mine all suffered after using the stuff. After I took it out, they started extending again after a week.

So I tested my parameters using API test kit.
I used Salifert to test nitrates.
Temp is at a steady 78
PH is 8.2
Ammonia is 0
Nitrates are 25 with both kits.
Alkalinity is 196.9, 11dkh
Calcium is 420
Phosphates 0
Salinity is 1.025

Lol they don’t mind purigen. That’s the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. Maybe your lfs was referring to chemiclean? Or flu rx? I have two bags in my 45 gallon ;Hilarious Indo torch, indo Hammer, Indo frogspawn, and a Duncan that has gone from 3 heads to 8 in the past 2 months.

Forgive the rather empty tank. I just cut up 90% of my zoas and sold or kicked them to the frag tank. Working on making room for sticks ;Hilarious

Not to pepper with questions, but what are you feeding and how often? I had issues with over feeding at first before stopping entirely and having much better luck. I would also try to find a spot and leave it be versus moving around too much. They take time to settle to a spot.

Hey how do you regenerate your purigen?
