Do you think the high phosphates has anything to do with the clowns not eating?Get the Hannah checker and go from there. If it’s high, yes some gfo will help

High phosphates could stress them out but that’s unlikely.Do you think the high phosphates has anything to do with the clowns not eating?
So 0.9 is higher than 0.10?No, that is
no, that isn’t too much filtration. I’ve never heard of that LOL. What are you testing phosphates with? The reason I ask is because the ideal phosphate for a mixed reef tank is 0.10-0.20 and a test kit reading 0 could mean the phosphates are really 0.9 which is way too high and would definitely make your hammer coral mad.
Their back to eating againHigh phosphates could stress them out but that’s unlikely.
Yes. .90 is greater than .10So 0.9 is higher than 0.10?
So should I start dosing my calcium and alkalinity if my dkh drops to 8 or 9?Yes. .90 is greater than .10
Tou could try Duncan's I find they are one of the more hardy lps, also I have found torches and frogspawns tend to be more sensitive than hammers especially torches.Maybe I should try some more hardy corals til I can get my tank parameters more stable. Are there any other corals that are less delicate than the hammer? Perhaps maybe a frogspawn? Or torch? Or any other soft corals that are less delicate?
You want to keep your dkh around 8.2 so only add alk if it drops into the low 7 or lowerSo should I start dosing my calcium and alkalinity if my dkh drops to 8 or 9?
Doesn't appear that you are doing so. Slow down bud. Stop chasing numbers and dosing all sorts of different things.Good idea
change your salt mix. prob running a high alk salt that’s making it so highHow can I lower the alkalinity? I don’t dose I just do water changes
