I just got this starfish a few days ago. Something is wrong with it. It looks like it’s disintegrating The tank is only two months old....I realize now that may be the problem. Can anything be done for it? Will it contaminate the tank? If there is no saving it what should I do with it?
Thanks

Give it chance in refugium in sump if other fish are picking on him this happened to my starfish and hermit crabs were picking on him .... one good thing about starfish is that they don’t nuke tanks when they are dying or dead...

What should I do with it?
This starfish will start to fall apart within the next day or two, my advice is to go ahead and take him out, he is already gone, I am sorry he can`t be saved:(

Thanks. I don’t have a refugium. I haven’t seen anyone picking on him. I don’t think I have anything that would bother it. I have two black saddleback clowns, Sailfin tang, tiny hippo tang, cleaner wrasse and ruby red dragonet.

Tank is too new to support a starfish. Starfish are quite delicate and need mature systems to survive, especially linkias
