I just looked up your light and it seems like there are a couple of screws on top that hold the bracket, if you make a different bracket that you can attach a hanging kit to it then you might be able to hang them. Good luck
Maybe you can mark where the bracket is and trim some of the rim off so it fits...? Could also get creative with one of the light hanging kits on amazon...
Not hanging but I have cut that inside lip off to mount lights on my rimmed tanks with no adverse effects. It's bad illustration but if you cut that lip at the ends of the bracket up to the vertical brace you should be able to take pliers and work it up and down and break it off. Cutting works as well but is messy. I have a 125g that has been up for years with parts of that inside like removed in a couple of spots.
This is how much I removed from mine at at one pont. I think I was installing a hob when it was a freshwater.
