My corals are pale at the moment, when i test my nitrate and phosphate, it was almost undetectable. Some guys tell me to buy some amino acid to supply for the corals, but I think what if I just need to dose either nitrate or phosphate for the coral to color up ?
Because I think with this way, it will be much cheaper than buying advertising food that good is for corals, right ?

Yes, you most definitely can! I've been dosing stump remover for a couple years now. I've also been dosing trisodium phosphate for the past year. No issues whatsoever.

I dose both nitrate and amino acids - as I understand it they meet two different needs.

But you can start with nitrate and give it some time to have an affect before making any other additions.
