Thinking about a Candy Basslet for my established 180 gal, one of those fish I've wanted for the better part of a decade.

They have a reputation of being timid, but for those who have kept them, how bad is it? I've got established tangs in what is a pretty well stocked display, but have managed to keep other timid basslets (notably a very shy black cap) without issue.

Is their timidity comparable to something like a black cap, or is it on another level? Any best practices to help them fit into an established tank?

Beautiful fish! Did it ever acclimate to your tank or was he always that shy?
