Alright folks had this candy cane for over a week now and have seen no movement from it at all, wondering if anyone can tell from the photo if it is dead or almost dead, looks like it would be a nice coral so would love some info to maybe get it opened up !!!

Are you checking at night? They open at night when the lights are off. I can tell by the pic it is not dead.

It may just be acclimating to the new water parameters and temp. They'll also close up like this when their getting ready to poop :)
They don't like a lot of flow and prefer low to medium lighting. As long as your seeing tissue, keep the faith and give it time. Soon it will look like this

Good luck and keep us posted.
