Canister and reactors

Hey everyone. I have a idea with putting a reactor inline with a canister filter. From the canister to the return pump cut it and put the reactor in the middle. Would this work or has anything tired something like this?

You have both the cannister and reactor between the return pump, so twice the number of devices that can potentially clog or fail. This is quite a bit different than running a manifold where you have a dedicated water stream to each device.
