Sure that would be helpful. It's easier the shopping around. Another thing to add to the shopping list

Mark sid tottle, not sure if I asked this what did you use to help protect your canopy and stand from the salt water. Was it anything special or just regular paint

What brand of paint do you get over there? I used a brand called Dulex paint, the paint was this Dulux Weathershield Smooth Masonry Paint Black reason for me using it is that its an acrylic based paint, once dyed its fine, but as an added bit of protection for inside in canopy i used a Polyurethane gloss varnish.
When I was looking to see what paint I could used I found that any thing that is acrylic based or latex based is fine to use. The Polyurethane gloss varnish is what is used on boots.

I was planning on using a product called kiltz for a base primer. Then I was going to use a black paint. Wasn't sure on the brand of paint. I haven't gotten that far yet, but I am close so I figured I would start asking about what to really use. I would hate to paint the stand and later on down the road have it start peeling. I want to do this right the first time.

I do know I want the finish to be a glossy finish and was thinking about a polyurethane finish over that to help protect the finish.

That looks good. I can see how it would look with a glossy black finish
