Canopy Paint?

I am currently building a canopy, my question is what paint are you guys using? In the past I have used regular rattle can gloss automotive paint but I’m leaning towards regular exterior house paint.

I used cabinet paint on mine.

You can actually get solid color stain at Lowe’s. That’s what I did with my plywood and water changing stand.
