Hi, I've got a ticket open with Neptune but they are taking forever to get back to me. Holidays I suppose but I've heard that there are a lot of experts on Trident setup problems on this board (which probably means I shouldn't have bought it!). Oh well, I run an Apex system and I like the integration (or at least will when it stops spitting out garbage). Let me try to summarize:
- attaches to Apex controller no problem. Neptune can see it via Fusion. btw, I have a used Apex ACM which is running perfectly which I installed at exactly the same time; go figure
- obeys commands and will calibrate. But fails to return values in two ways: either it returns zero for one or both of Nitrate and Phosphate or it returns one (which seems correct) but not the other. And it switches between them.
- initial question from Neptune was whether the reagent was expired but the ones I got in the box did not have expiry dates only lot numbers. I relayed them to Neptune and they said the first batch was old (this was in a product given away by BRS in a contest to someone on this board!). So I switched to another batch. Problems continued but again not consistently.
- I will say that I've had to move the unit around as I didn't have space in my stand so I had to improvise. Neptune implied that the NP is a lot touchier than the ACM.
While I'm waiting for Neptune, can anyone give me some guidance on what to do next? I can email you the biz file if you like. I can't seem to attach it here.
