CANT KEEP DETRITUS OFF MY UMBRELLA LEATHER AND NOW ITS BLEACHING!

I got my first leather only a few weeks ago. At first it opened up quickly and seemed to be thriving and now it’s closed and has detritus covering it. I leaned my wave maker more toward him to keep any other detritus off but it just kept getting worse. Now it looks like it has some bleach spots. Everyting else in my tank look great except for this guy pictures attached below. I am fairly new to this so please don’t beat me up.

It’s just waxing over. It will shed it and return to normal in a few days. Just make sure you monitor it and make sure it’s not reacting to something else (nutrients, salinity, temp, flow, etc...)

It’s been like this for a little more than a week now though..

Could be something with your water parameters or maybe the torch was stinging it.
