I strongly disagree. IMO it is a very poorly designed product.
Do you know how much alkalinity it adds to your system? No, you can’t know without knowing exactly what happens to the gluconate.
Though we do not know how much alkalinity is being added to the system, I would think this would not be a huge concern at all. This is considering that the amount of organics added while dosing this is minimal compared to the amount of organics released by other lifeforms in the tank. And I could be wrong but I believe that this gluconate calcium does not act as a sugar, only related, but is still a beneficial food source. Curious to see what you think about this
